I think it is expected a full comprehension of the the topic being discussed. Not only your lens, but all the lenses being researched by your peers. The presentation has to cover all the lenses and have to be explained professionally. If my IRR or lens is left out, I should start investigating about my partners lenses in order to give a well educated explanation of it. My peers and I should cooperate to coordinate the presentation and make it look good physically and also fluently when being presented. I am looking forward to this presentation, I feel excited to share what I have learned.
In order to give an exemplary multimedia presentation I must fully comprehend the issue through all lenses. I must read, analyze and understand the IRR papers of my peers as well, both ethical and historical lense. We must discuss as a group and make sure to decide what is indeed the most important information to include and what can be left out. For the presentation I must work on my talking skills as well, the way we address the public, the tone I use and facial as hand gestures are highly important. Along with my teammates we can practice and give each other pointers and discuss what we can improve.
The expectations from the Team Multimedia Presentation is to demonstrate full understanding of the topic, and exhibit it. The presentation has to be not just a full explanation of all the lenses, but a deep analysis regarding the research question, that can respond it with a well developed argument. The argument can exclude any lens that is not congruent, and is mandatory to stick to a valid line of reasoning. Its not just to have a clear argument, but also to know how to explain it fluently, in coordination with the teammates. The TMP encourages the student to learn the lenses of its peers, in order to understand all aspects of the topic. The main challenge I have as part of my team, is to speak fluently and prove Im capable of presenting my final exam presentation.
The first thing I need to accomplish in order to fulfill the expectations of the Team Multimedia Presentation is conveying the ethical argument (well supported by evidence) that I will be presenting. From here, all other aspects are necessary but secondary. After establishing the argument, I will continue to talk about the obstacles that me and my group encountered when researching about this topic. As the presentation continues, it is primordial to engage the audience with a clear and intriguing presentation. And for this to happen, it is important that the design of the presentation is attractive. Last but not least, I need to be able to answer the oral defense questions as well as showing great knowledge overall of my other team member's obstacles.
Javier- My expectations for the Team Multimedia Presentation of myself are that I have a full understanding of all the lenses being used to discuss the topic. I also need to establish my argument of my lens to my other classmates so that they know the importance of my lens and how it affects the topic and the research question overall. I will read my team's IRR's and together we will discuss what we need to leave out of the presentation in order to make it more effective and improve how we communicate our topic. I expect to give an excellent presentation in which I show knowledge about my lens and my teammates' lenses as well.
What I expect of myself during the Team Multimedia Presentation is to be able to have a complete understanding of my own lens and my teammates' as well. I will have to discuss with my team about the information in their own IRRs so everyone can know every detail of the other person's lens to comprehend the topic entirely. Once the topic is fully understood, I will create an argument revolving around my lens, presenting evidence to support it. That evidence will be analysed to provide credibility and validity to the argument. The presentation will continue to tell the different obstacles we had when looking for information. The slideshow must be attractive to engage the audience. At last, I must be able to answer questions regarding my lens and my teammates'.
We individually are expected to really understand not only our lens but also the other lenses from our teammates. To understand the other lenses, I must read and analyze my teammates iRR; and after that discuss it with them to clarify doubts. This way we will be sure in which position or which lenses we are going to use in our TMP. When everything is already understood I will need to make an argument regarding my lens with supporting details. We will leave out the lenses that are not useful or entirely crucial to support our argument. After that we will need to design a presentation that gives support and engages the audience. Lastly, we need to be ready to answer the oral defense and some of the troubles we encounter with our resources.
It is expected from me that I come into the project ready to work together. As an individual, being part of the group in a multimedia presentation means being open to anyone's take and realizing the team's opinion. I understand that I must attempt to synthesize the group's opinion into one and answer the question together. The TMP must not be a resume of the three IRR's, or a combination of our IRR's, we must come together and postulate a team position on the topic. I am also expected to give my knowledge as now I am considered a political lens expert, therefore, my teammates are relying on my knowledge to address the political lens in our presentation.
Write a brief summary of each category expectations for IRR (Task #1) rubric. Please write an 8-rows reflection on the IRR (essays) you read (which one was a high, a medium or a low; what do you think about the topics; are they well written?; are the sources reliable and relevant enough?; what about conventions?).
Write a 10-row reflection on your own performance writing the IWA. What did you do well? if you had the opportunity to do it all over again, what would you do different? Identify your major challenges, etc.
